The TRS team complete their StrokeEd Lower Limb Skills after Stroke workshop!

Team Rehab Solutions recently had the privilege of hosting the sold-out Evidence-Based Retraining of Lower Limb Skills after Stroke workshop, delivered by StrokeEd, at our Headquarters in Forest Glen.

Over three days, clinicians from across hospital and community settings came together to strengthen their skills in lower limb rehabilitation after stroke, with a focus on sitting, sit-to-stand transitions, standing balance, and walking.

The workshop provided an excellent professional development opportunity, equipping clinicians with practical, hands-on strategies to better support people living with stroke and other neurological conditions. The course focused on improving movement, walking, balance, confidence, and independence in everyday activities such as standing, transfers, and mobility, while also exploring the latest evidence and rehabilitation approaches to ensure clinical practice continues to reflect best-practice care.

“The training gave our team practical, hands-on strategies to better support people living with stroke and other neurological conditions, particularly with everyday activities like standing, walking, transfers, and building strength and independence. The course also explored the latest evidence and rehabilitation approaches to help ensure the care we provide continues to reflect best practice,” said Joe Upritchard, Neurological Exercise Physiologist at Team Rehab Solutions.

A significant number of Team Rehab Solutions clinicians also attended, reflecting our ongoing commitment to professional development and evidence-based practice.

At Team Rehab Solutions, we’re passionate about continually growing our skills and knowledge so we can provide the highest quality support possible for our clients and community. Hosting opportunities like this allows us to continue investing in our team, raise the standard of neurological rehabilitation across our service, and strengthen the care we provide every day.

A big thank you to StrokeEd for delivering such a valuable and engaging program, and to everyone who attended and contributed to making the workshop such a success.
