NDIS ALLIED HEALTH ASSISTANTS
Allied Health Assistants for NDIS Participants
We provide mobile Allied Health Assistants (AHA) services across the Sunshine Coast, Gympie and Fraser Coast allowing support to be delivered directly in your home environment where daily activities take place.
Our Allied Health Assistants help participants work towards their therapy goals by supporting the implementation of programs developed by Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Speech Pathologists and Dietitians.
How Allied Health Assistants Can Help
Our AHAs provide support across a range of therapy programs.
Support can include:
- Implementing therapy programs prescribed by allied health clinicians
- Supporting daily living skill development
- Assisting with mobility and exercise programs
- Reinforcing communication and social participation strategies
- Supporting community access and participation goals
- Assisting with therapy activities in the home environment
- Encouraging consistency between clinician appointments
All support is provided in accordance with a therapy plan developed by your treating clinician.
Supporting Ongoing Progress
Consistency is an important part of achieving meaningful outcomes. Allied Health Assistants help people stay engaged with their therapy programs by providing regular support between clinician appointments. By assisting with prescribed exercises and activities in the home, AHAs help reinforce skills, build confidence and encourage ongoing progress. This approach helps integrate therapy into everyday life, supporting greater independence and participation over time.
