Here is a recent success story from one of our Senior Fraser Coast Occupational Therapists, Jordan Trott! 🙌

Jordy has been working with a client for the past two years focusing on fine motor skills and applying mathematical knowledge into everyday tasks.

Both Jordy and her client have been engaging in cooking tasks to assist in improving these skills. The client's fine motor skill development has improved significantly and they're thrilled with their efforts so far.

TRS client Robert begun his rehabilitation journey following a prolonged hospital admission in December 2021-2022 due to complications following multiple procedures.

He has since been diagnosed with Kidney Failure stage 4 and was not leaving his home and was unable to walk more than 200m without significant fatigue which was limiting his quality of life and community engagement.

Over Robert's TRS journey he has worked with our Exercise Physiologist Jessie, Occupational Therapist Anne and Dietitian Courtney to help regain his quality of life. Through hard work and determination and 1.5 years later Robert is now attending the gym weekly with his Exercise Physiologist, walking 1-2km along the river three times a week independently and has not had a fall in over 6 months!🎉

Robert is now looking to go on a holiday to visit family and reported he has "regained his enjoyment for life again". Robert has maintained his level of function and is working with his medical team to ensure he is able to continue doing the things he loves!

This is an incredible outcome and we love to see it! 💚
