AGED CARE ALLIED HEALTH ASSISTANTS
Allied Health Assistants for Aged Care (Support at Home)
We provide mobile services across the Sunshine Coast, Gympie and Fraser Coast, allowing support to be delivered directly in your home environment where daily activities take place.
Our allied health assistants (AHA) work under the guidance of our qualified allied health clinicians, supporting the delivery of therapy programs developed by physiotherapists, occupational therapists and other members of our team.
How Allied Health Assistants Can Help
Our AHAs help implement therapy programs and provide ongoing support with activities designed to maintain strength, mobility and independence.
Support can include:
- Assisting with prescribed exercise programs
- Practising mobility and movement activities
- Supporting daily living tasks recommended by clinicians
- Reinforcing therapy programs developed by allied health professionals
- Monitoring progress between clinician visits
All support is provided in accordance with a therapy plan developed by your treating clinician.
Supporting Ongoing Progress
Consistency plays an important role in maintaining strength, mobility and independence.
AHAs help ensure therapy programs are carried out regularly and safely.
By supporting the implementation of exercises and activities within the home, AHAs help reinforce progress made during clinician appointments.
This approach allows therapy to become part of everyday routines and can help people continue building confidence with movement and daily activities.
