ALLIED HEALTH ASSISTANTS

In-Home Allied Health Assistants

We provide mobile Allied Health Assistants (AHA) services across the Sunshine Coast, Gympie and Fraser Coast for:

  • NDIS participants
  • Support at Home (Aged Care) clients
  • Private patients

Our Allied Health Assistants help participants clients work towards their therapy goals by supporting the implementation of programs developed by Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Speech Pathologists and Dietitians.

Supporting NDIS, Support at Home and Private Clients

Our AHAs provide support across a range of therapy programs.

Support can include:

  • Implementing therapy programs prescribed by allied health clinicians
  • Supporting daily living skill development
  • Assisting with mobility and exercise programs
  • Reinforcing communication and social participation strategies
  • Supporting community access and participation goals
  • Assisting with therapy activities in the home environment
  • Encouraging consistency between clinician appointments

All support is provided in accordance with a therapy plan developed by your treating clinician.

Supporting Ongoing Progress

Consistency is an important part of achieving meaningful outcomes. Allied Health Assistants can support with:

  • Reinforcing therapy programs prescribed by your clinician
  • Supporting regular completion of exercises and functional activities
  • Encouraging consistency between clinician appointments
  • Helping build confidence and independence in daily activities
  • Monitoring progress and providing feedback to the supervising clinician
