what to expect at your first appointment

Your first appointment focuses on understanding swallowing or communication concerns.

This may include:

  • Reviewing symptoms and medical history
  • Assessing swallowing safety
  • Observing eating or drinking where appropriate
  • Identifying communication challenges
  • Providing immediate safety recommendations

Working with Your Support Team

We work closely with and accept referrals from:

  • Support coordinators
  • Case managers/Plan managers
  • GP’s and Doctors
  • Carers and family members
